If you experience any of these signs repeatedly or in combination, they could indicate a hearing loss.
- You often ask people to repeat themselves.
- People seem to mumble more frequently.
- You have difficulty understanding a conversation when in a large group or crowd.
- You experience ringing in your ears.
- While watching TV or listening to the radio with others, they complain that you play the volume too loudly.
- You have difficulty hearing normal household sounds, such as the ringing of the doorbell or the ticking of a clock.
- You have been told you speak too loudly.
- You have trouble hearing when your back is turned toward the person talking.
- You find telephone conversation increasingly difficult.
- You have trouble understanding all the words in a conversation.
